Bright golden-brown colour. Aroma is earthy, slighlty molassesy. The body is a little light. There’s some mild brown sugary malt notes and slight alcohol in the finish. Doesn’t drink like a strong ale - Australians are even more timid than Canadians with their micros.

After their IPA and amber, I wasn’t expecting much, but this is not bad. Deep amber golden color with dog food and caramel in the nose. Buscuity malty start then some caramel malt and hops come in with a moderately bitter finish.

(Bottle 34,5 cl) Dark, amber colour. Filtered. Huge, frothy, beige head. Dry, nutty aroma with some malt-sweetness and a discreet bitterness from no less than three different Tasmanian hops. Very nice amber ale. Thanks to Pia for bringing me this from Sydney. 240205

Golden amber color, with apples and peaches in the nose. A very light body, lightly hopped brew with peaches and a slightly dry finish.

Clear amber coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of peaches, caramel, malt, some hops and a lot of sugar. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong sugary flavours with light hops and a more pronounced malt. Aftertaste sweet but short. Overall, a nice beer-not an IPA that us Americans are used to-but a welcome treat ’down under’. I sampled this 345 mL bottle (which consequently contains 1.6 standard drinks?) purchased from a bottle shop in St. Kilda (Melbourne), Australia.

Bright deep amber coloured body with a frothy, albeit fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toasted malt, caramelised sugars and a slight touch of fresh hops. Medium-bodied; Malty throughout the mouthful, with some of the nuts and sugars leaking through. Aftertaste showcases that bitter nut flavour more than anything else with a distinct malty taste near the tail end. Overall, a good amber (not my favourite style) and very welcome, compared with most of the other aussies. I sampled this from a 12 ounce bottle in Sydney, Australia.

Bottled, thanks duff! Dark ruby, rich dense head. Aroma of chocolate and "punsch" (sweet arrack liquor) Sweet and soft. the alcohol is present, along with the fruitiness and a lot of toffee/chocolate. Solidly malty and flavourful. Interesting and unusual, but perhaps not very complex.

Bottle. Golden beer with a nice head that quickly disapears. A fruity/grassy aroma that's faint. Very well balanced. There's a good malt flavor that gives way to gives way to a gently spicey/fruity hop flavor, ending with a nice crisp bite. Very well balanced pils with a lot of flavor. In a blind taste test this finished ahead of Pilsner Urquell and Budvar/Czechvar to everyone's surprise.

Hazy straw appearance. Phenolic, medicinal, spicy nose. Sweetish palate, with another round of light spiciness.

Bottled. Near black with majestic, firm creamy head that lasts forever. Licorice aroma. Short, sharp and very dry salty coffee flavour. More salt in a finish with medium bitterness.
