Orbit Beers grew from a passion for travel, music and beer. A journey around all the breweries in Scotland in a classic VW campervan named Brian sparked a desire to return to London and begin a new journey. We moved into our double railway arch in Walworth, South London and Orbit Beers was born. Our first beer was brewed on 1st July 2014 at our home here in SE17.
We value our independence. We are independent in the way we think about our beers, timeless styles brewed with an eye for balance and finesse. Our work is inspired by the ethos of our favourite independent record labels, who hold music and art above all else. We are Orbit Beers, we encourage you to listen, think, and drink independent.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 30/05/22. Light black with a decent lasting khaki head ... lacing ensues. Nose is dark malts, dried fruit rinds, cocoa sprinkle, roast malts, raisins. Taste comprises roast malts, treacle toffee, light ashen tones, charr, fruit cake. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a bitter roasted finale. Decent.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Bottle Apostle, South Hackney. Pours clear honey-gold with a frothy, white head. Lightly sweet with kites of leafy hops, assertive grassy bitterness, some white grape, husky pale grains. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sturdy and lingering bitterness, more grass, husk, lemon rind. Expressive and enjoyable.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 25/05/22. Golden blonde with a decent lasting white head. Nose is grass, lemon rind, orange zest, herb, mellow Sorachi strains. Taste comprises orange peel, grass, citric tinged straw, lemon rind, melon, herb. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced Sorachi laden hop bitterness. Decent Sorachi pale ... its been a while !

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Bottle Apostle - South Hackney. Pours clear orange-gold with a modest, foamy white head. Lightly sweet with notes of pale bread, moreish citrus fruits, sun-kissed bread, a little pine, nectarine. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, more fresh and bright citrus fruits, bready pale malts. Impressive.

Bottle ordered from Ghost Whale, Putney. This was a gusher - had to put the bottle into a handy bowl and it sat there secreting for some time. Aroma combines booze and rich malts. Opaque darker brown. Lively bubbly white head soon retreats. The barrel-aging dictates the flava to some extent. Boozy salted caramel, nuts and raisens. But primarily booze. Light. Pretty thin. Lifted by soft-fizzy carbonation. Long warming finish. Enjoyable unless are not keen on BA malarkey.

On tap at Craft Beer Oasis, Crewe. Pours almost black with a small creamy head. There’s coffee in the aroma – but you have to search for it. Coffee is more pronounced in the mouth, along with roasted malts and hints of fruit and spices. Decent enough I suppose.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours clear honey-gone with a modest, foamy off-white head. Medium to heavy sweet flavour, mild leafy bitterness, toasted malts, booze, caramel, light bourbon, vanilla, golden saisons. Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, lightly sticky. Good fun.

Bottle ordered from Ghost Whale, Putney. Aroma is sweet and fruit, with chocolate cake, nuts and a boozy edge. Opaque amber brown. Frothy beige head disappears abruptly. Medium bitter frukt and booze alongside an earthy streak. Underlying tangy sourness. Medium bodied. Oily. Flat-average carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Bitter yet smooth Barley Wine.
