Bottle at home. Four year old bottle. Pours a dark brown to black colour with a khaki head. Aroma of roasted wood, some alcohol, dark wood, cocoa, coffee beans and oak. Roasted flavour as well with lots of dark chocolate, ash and coffee. Has a soft and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light to medium bitterness. Delicious imperial stout with waves of chocolate and coffee. The alcohol is well hidden, and the ale is well-balanced all over.

Flaska från SB, vintage 2015. Passerat bäst före-datum, men brukar inte vara några bekymmer för en sådan här typ av öl. I det här fallet har åldringen dock tyvärr inte gjort den väl. Rödbrun, lätt murken utan krona. Något barley wine-liknande toner i doften. Helt slät kropp, uttunnad och ganska ordentligt oxiderad. Platt smak av kartong och gammalt papper. Ingen syrlighet överhuvudtaget. Alltid en chansning med att låta öl ligga.

Can from Systembolaget, e-order in October 2018. Hazy light yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, some pineapple and hints of mango. The same in the taste, also some hay and malt. The body was medium and the finish on the dry side.

Cask @ Bishop's Arms, Hornstull. 29.9.2018. 4,7% says label. Poured amber color with a thin white head. Nutty, malty brew. Some honey and grass in aroma. Smooth, nutty, malty flavor. Lovely.
