Description
Conceived as a ‘nomadic’ project, The Beak has spent several years creating unfiltered, seasonally-inspired beer with friends at some the greatest UK breweries, including North Brew Co, Partizan, Beavertown, Burning Sky and Northern Monk. We've now laid roots in our hometown of Lewes in East Sussex, where we've built a 15-BBL neighbourhood brewery and taproom with a mixed-fermentation project and weekend street food canteen. Please come and say hi!

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, decent fine minerally carbonation emerging on the back end. Light smooth pale malts, a pleasant light creamy sweetness. Alora hops bring light cooling pine, I would say mild yuzu citrus, mild but bright. Motueka fits in here rather nicely with light lime and lemon. Light finish. Hmm. Alora was quite obviously Yuzu in a few of the first round beers I tried. Here l, yes Yuzu but softer and less punchy. Hoping that is a supply issue and not many hops could be used here. The alternative is the Alora is already suffering from terrior spread. Hop philosophy aside, this is a nice IPA.

white head. Aroma has soft stone fruit and citrus with a more sour and resinous edge. Flavourwise is similar- initial sweet pulpy stone fruit followed by a more bitter and edge with added sourness. Medium bodied. Slick to creamy. Slightly pithy. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable bitter but with a soft centre.
