440ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Pitch black pour, very deep, dark tan head. Intense aroma presenting strong coffee, dark roast and layered dark malts. Unctious Brazilian coffee on the palate tempered by a little vanilla, some coarse woody oak and tobacco. Marvellous stuff.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours ever so lightly hazy yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, soft, sweet, doughy white bread, rich tea biscuit, cereal and hob nobs. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, grassy, hay, touch of spice, lovely biscuity malt, doughy white bread, hay and cereal with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Rounded and chuggable. A classy lagerbier.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from All Good Beer. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Nice biscuity lager, moderately sweet, has a little crispy grain to it, some white grape. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Subtle grassy bitterness to finish, doughy biscuits, pale grains. Enjoyable lager.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a thick white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of melon rind and pineapple. Flavour of passionfruit, crushed paracetamol and grass. Medium body with a creamy texture. Soft fizz. An excellent, easy drinking beer. Big mouthfeel for 4.5% ABV. I’ve been really impressed with the beers I’ve had from this brewery.
