Description
RYGR Brygghus is a microbrewery in Kverneland Næringspark on Jæren. The brewery was established in 2017, and came on the market in 2018. RYGR is owned by the employees and Grans Brewery. The brewery is named after the Smokers, who were the first grain growers in southwestern Norway in the Viking Age. In 2020, RYGR has become one of the largest microbreweries in the country, after reaching a national agreement with REMA 1000 supermarkets. In addition, the products are distributed to Vinmonopolet and bars and restaurants.

The brewery has been a driving force for the use of local raw materials in production, and to a large extent uses malt from the same municipality from Jæren Korn & Malt and oatmeal from Stangeland Mølle. In 2020, other fermented raw material producers were also incorporated into production.

From bottle at OSB 13.11.19. Amber chestnut colour. Foamy, dense and persistent beige head and lacing. Aroma of sweet crystal malt and fresh grass. Taste of medium crystal malt and moderate bitterness.

0,33 boks fra det statlige helsekostutsalg i Straensenteret, hjemme: uklar dyprød med ok skum. Mango og aronia - en herlig kombinasjon, litt rart at ingen har tenkt på det før? Juicy og smakfull, og i tillegg kjempesunt...

On tap at Mikkeller Oslo. Hazy golden with a white head. Fairly soft with hops, citrus and mango. The finish was a bit on the sweet side. A decent one. --- Beer merged from original tick of Stafangr New England IPA on 10 Nov 2019 at 17:38

330 ml bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 10.8%. Hops are Perle, Bobek and Hallertauer. Yeast is Westmalle. Very dark reddish brown colour, small beige head. The aroma has notes of brown sugar, almonds, caramel, nuts and dust. The flavour is quite sweet, with loads of caramel and brown sugar, also notes of dark dried fruits, \"brente mandler\" (caramel-coated and roasted almonds), moderate hops.

From bottle on board Fridtjofen 03.11.19. Clear pale golden. Fine off-white head. Inviting aroma and taste of lychee, mango, citrus, succade and pilsner malt. Moderate citrus bitterness is lingering on. Crisp mouthfeel. Refreshing and quaffalbe!

From tap at Melkebaren, Sandnes, with HDI 02.11.19. Cloudy dark hay colour. White head. Aroma and acid taste of vanilla, peach, lemon juice and lactic acid. No quite in balance
