440ml can, #100, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Fair fawn-coloured head slowly diminishing over a deep black body, scattered lacing. Quite prominent aromas of roasted, grainy chocolate. Mid-sweet malty flavours with impacts of cocoa powder, chocolate and oak, lactose backbone. Smoothly roasted malty ending, rather sweet. Slow sipper on a Sunday afternoon. (Tromsø, 23.03.2025).

200ml draught at Crafty Friends. A covering white head over a clear warm golden body, spotty lacing. Quite inviting malty aromas with herbal hops. Blended taste of noble hops and cereal malts. Rounded malt-hoppy tail. Medium bodied. Decent pilsner version. (Hamar, 14.03.2025),

Can. Small, dense light tan head over black to brown body. Roasted malts, coffee notes, some alcohol, bonfire and licorice. Full body, warming, semi-sweet, nice carbonation. Roasted malts-bitter. Bursdagsgave fra Håkon (0,44 boks), elegant servert i mitt Orval-glass, hjemme etter åpningsseremonien for Stavanger 900 år: lett uklar kobbergylden med fint skum som varer. Fin duft og enda bedre smak med fiken, kandis, Madeira/portvin, røde bær og lyse karameller. Lav bitterhet men allikevel balansert i uttrykket.
