Can, at Håndverkeren. It's a lightly hazy golden colored beer with a small white head. The aroma is deliciously bready and grainy, with a nice piney, lightly grassy hoppyness. It's medium to full bodied, nicely carbonated and quite dry on the palate. Some sweetness left, but easily dealt with by the bitterness. The flavor too has a very pleasant maltyness, mostly bready, with a light grainy touch and a hint of toffee. Piney, grassy hop flavors. Medium length finish. A very nice bitter indeed. Sure sessionable. 211203

On tap at Håndverkeren. It pours an unclear straw colored body under a dense, finger thick white head. Nice lacing. The aroma is fruity, with a very light yeast hint and some spiced notes. Apple, orange hints, pale malts, bread, grass and some hay. Vague notes of banana. It's full bodied, nicely carbonated and quite dry, yet with a touch of white sugar. Some alcohol warmth too, feeling more pronounced in the mouth than on the nose. Fresh fruit, some peppery, faintly chalky yeast, grass and hay, pale malts and alcohol in the flavor, with some fruity sugar. Lasting warning and fruity finish. Except the yeasty touch, a very nice brew indeed. 211119

Bottle, at Håndverkeren. A dark brown, quite still beer with a minimal sized beige head. The aroma is mostly roasted, almost burnt, with dark chocolate and cocoa, with a hint of dark dried fruit. Smooth and medium bodied with a very low carbonation level. Roasted malts, cocoa and dark chocolate in the flavor, followed by sine dark dried fruits and a hint of bitterness. Medium length finish. Easy drinkable, but too low of carbonation and in general suffering from the ABV. 211119

Tap @ Håndverkeren. Slightly unclear golden body under a fine, dense white head. Aroma has pale malt, a hint of honey and yeast with a hint of some kind of smell that feels like something is not quite right. Taste has light, pale malt, some citric fruit, yeast and the same kind of off flavor, not able to put my finger on what it is, might have something to do with DMS but it’s not quite there as I recognize it. Moderate bitterness. Medium body and more then less the same aftertaste. Not very exciting, but could have been quite all right if it didn’t have this off flavor. Not totally off but not great either.

On tap at Sørlandet Matfestival. It pours an unclear dark brown body under a dense, finger-thick beige head. The aroma is roasted and burnt, with some sour bonfire smoke. Hints of licorice and dark chocolate. It's medium bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a decent carbonation level. Mostly dark malts in the flavor too, roasted malts, dark chocolate, burnt malts, coffee notes, charcoal and some dark dried fruits. Some roasted malts kind of bitterness. Quite lasting finish. Suffers a bit from the rather low ABV this one, especially in mouthfeel of course, but it's nice anyway. Personally I prefer my porters a little less on the dark malt side, with more fruityness and less charcoal and bonfire. 190712

Bottle from Gulating tasted October 21, marked best before June 22. Unclear golden body under a lacing white head. Aroma has citric fruit, some cooked vegetables and light acidity. Taste is a bit harsh with grass, vegetables and mild acidity. Medium body and a bit harsh in aftertaste. I believe this one struggles with the best before date, it seems to be just a shadow of what is was served fresh regarding previous ratings.
