On tap at Apotekergården. It's an almost clear one, golden colored and with a small short-lived white head. Some curtains. The aroma is grassy and piney, with some peppery hints, citrus and pale malts. Notes of hay and a faint alcohol hint too. It's full-bodied, nicely carbonated and semi-dry, with a balancing bitterness. Still feels a bit sweet though. The flavor is pretty similar to the aroma, grassy and piney, with citrus and pale malts. Weirdly enough there's a hint of alcohol here too, but the hay and peppery hints are gone though. Lastng and a bit sweet finish. A nice summer ale. 210722

On tap at Røør. It's a lightly hazy dark golden colored beer with a small off-white head. The aroma has a light maltyness with bread and caramel, and a pleasant rather generic fruityness. It's medium bodied and semi-dry, with a sweetness feeling that is a bit too heavy. Pale malts, white bread, some caramel and a generic fruityness. Didn't really catch the rhubarb mentioned in the description, but there's at least a lightly sourish fruityness going on. Overall, a bit gentle this one, but at least it slakes the thirst. 190607

Can from Gulating. Slightly unclear golden body with a fine off-white head. Strange, slightly unpleasant aroma. Malt with Christmas tree and hint of sauerkraut. Taste is malt, some grassy bitterness, resin and vegetables, quite bitter in some kind of wooden style bitterness. Medium body and same slightly harsh, resin aftertaste. I was recommended to try this beer and felt so disappointed that I believed it had to be something wrong with my can. Tried another with the same result.

Can. Slightly unclear pale golden body under a small disappearing white head. Aroma is mild, sour fruit, hint of herbs, distinct mineralic and mild yoghurt. Taste has sweet, generic fruit juice, acidic lemon, minerals, a herbal touch (coriander seeds?), fresh grass and moderate bitterness. Medium to light bodied and same taste in aftertaste as the rest. Quite balanced for a Berliner. Nice and refreshing to taste a clean Berliner Weisse without any fruit juice added. Quite straight forward refreshing, the yoghurt from aroma is more than less absent in taste.

Bottle. It pours a more or less black body, with just a few beige bubbles on top. The aroma is quite roasted for the style, with notes of burnt malts, a good dash of dark dried fruits and a touch of toffee. Alcohol and a brown sugar too. It's full-bodied, warming and smooth on the palate, with the carbonation feeling a bit hard in the finish. Decent bitterness. Roasted malts, prunes, dried dates, caramel, hints of dark chocolate and charred wood and a good dash of brown sugar in the flavor. Long, warming and quite sweet finish. Not bad this one, although rather intense for the style. I regret opening now though, guess it would benefit from a year or more in the cellar. 210430
