Tap at Bakgården. Unclear salmon pink body with a small but lacing white head. Aroma is mostly sour raspberries. The taste is like expected from aroma, refreshing and sour raspberries, not to sour but quite smooth and balanced. No sign of yogurt either makes this a pleasant experience. Nothing complex really but a fine and refreshing berliner weisse with a taste of real raspberries.

Bottle. Unclear yellow golden body with a light white head. Aroma has mild fruit, slightly grassy and hint of yeast. Light and mild taste as well, fruity in general, quite dry and moderate bitterness. Medium body and short aftertaste. Quite true to style, but rather plain and one-dimensional, not my kind of beer.

Bottle. Unclear dark brown body with a thin, short lived off-white head. Aroma has dark malt, green pepper and some chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is medium sweet dark malt, dark chocolate and vanilla with some green pepper and a light chili sting somewhere in the background. Fine body and quite long lasting aftertaste with some warming alcohol at the end.

Bottle. Slightly unclear golden body with a nice, dense white head. Nice, strong and fresh aroma of grapefruit, citric fruit, pale malt and hint of oranges. Flavor has a decent maltbase with god, strong bitterness, lots of grapefruit, some citric fruit, mild orange touch, a bit like ripe oranges or marmalade. Nice balanced body and long lasting aftertaste. A very pleasant take on the IPA with a bit more complexity and depth than the average lot.

Bottle from the brewery. Slightly unclear golden body with a fine, medium sized, lazing white head. Aroma is rather typical pilsner with pale malt, bread, slightly floral and some fruity hops. Not strong but distinct in aroma. Flavor is soft, a bit on the sweeter side, smooth malt, hint of biscuit, floral, kinda fruity without being outside the pilsner norm and pleasant bitterness. Balanced body and nice, average aftertaste. Simply a well made, classic pilsner, with a bit of extra malt making it softer, smoother and a bit more bitter than you're average macro lager. Not being a big fan of the style, this was rather nice and still authentic for the style. Refreshing and pleasent, will repeat.

Growler at company party. Clear golden body with a moderate sized white head. Aroma is mild citric fruity with some acidity and hint of minerals. Flavor is smooth pale malt, minerals, refreshing acidic, fruity and almost just a faint hint of pineapple. Medium body and refreshing aftertaste. Quite light and super refreshing, I’m positively surprised of the light pineapple influence as this is a flavor where it’s so easy to overdo and ending up just with something silly. This was superb as a tasty thirst-quencher.

Bottle. Backlog from blood fresh sample from the brewery. Unclear pale golden body with a nice, lasting, dense white head. Really fresh fruity aroma, mostly orange, some sour citric fruit and hint of farmhouse yeast. Flavor is on the fresh, orange juicy side as well, some pale malt, moderate citric fruit, spicy yeast/kveik and pleasant balanced acidity. Medium body and long lasting fresh orange aftertaste. Not fruity like your everyday NEIPA og flavored Berliner Weize, the fruit is way more integrated and still amazingly fresh.

Bottle. Hazy orange body with a medium sized, lacing white head. Strong juicy aroma, apricot, grapefruit and tropical fruits. Refreshing but quite plain fruity taste with same fruit as aroma, but the bitterness feels good, actually much more than the label says and that is a good thing for me as the juicy flavor feels less sweet and more balanced. Medium body and same taste in aftertaste. Very refreshing and one of the more balanced NEIPA I have tasted.

Served at brew battle at Brygghuset, Kristiansand. Hazy golden orange body with a fine off-white head. Aroma is fruity with oranges, pale malt, pepper and yeast. A bit mild in flavors, take a little time to find and identify, it’s some kind of general fruity dominated a bit by oranges, pale malt, yeast, herbal, pepper and balancing bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste in the same direction – not strong but long lasting. Interesting, I think this one needs certain kind of food to be fully appreciated.

Tap @ Både &. Unclear yellow body with a small, lacing white head. Aroma is acidic, fruity with lots of mango and hint of minerals. Flavor is very refreshing fruity with mango, slightly mineral and light acidic. A fine balance between sweet fruit (maybe a little hint of lacto) and smooth, refreshing sourness. A very nice thirst quencher and thank God no yogurt flavor here.
