Description

Thanks to bierkoning for that one. Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Starts mild-malty, gets stronger and shows some caramel notes. Well balanced finish, quite drinkable. Could be a bit more intense, but still a great beer!

Bottle at Fin & Loz’s tasting with Jan, Charlotte, Craig, Stella & kids consumed 21.10.11 picked up from Bierkonning, Amsterdam, Netherlands September 11 Black with a tan head. Soft mouthfeel but lighter and fruitier than some. Lingering soft bitter and roasty flavours, some sweet liquorice and coffee. Good. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottled 330ml
Thanks Edo!
Lots of foam coming out of bottle. Slightly hazy orange color, big cloudy white head. Hayish, yeasty aroma - similar to some De Molen IPAs. Light body. Nice hayish-fruity hoppyness but slightly weak malt profile. Some grapefruit. Lingering fruityness in the aftertaste. Summer drink with the obvious De Molen fingerprints. Not much wrong with the taste of this beer, but too much carbonation and weakish palate.

Bottle at home in London, thanks to Benzai. Pours cloudy, light brown-gold with an absolutely huge, staying creamy white head. Aroma holds quite a bit of floral, lightly grassy and lightly citrusy hops. Flavor has just a light sweetness to it, some woody and grassy bitterness, certain citrus pith, faint mandarin orange. Quite delicate. Light bodied with extremely fine, highly effervescent carbonation. Massages like crazy. Faintly dry finish, more citrus pith, some light bread, florals and grass. Very delicate overall but quite nice.

Grob karbonisierter Antrunk, der den Hopfen beeinträchtigt. Frisch, passender Herbe. Zitrusnoten, die nach und nach in eine deutliche Bitterkeit übergeht. Wenig blumiger Hopfen, zum Ende etwas trocken, stark bitter. Gelungen. 6/10/11/10/8/10

Bottle 330ml.[ Trade by bierkoning ]. Unclear - hazy matt medium orange colour with a huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange - citrus, dusty, light to moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, light dry grass. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy. IMO overall to much yeast and to much carbonation. Bottle @ home, shared with DutchDrebus. Thick vast off-white head on top of a dark red / brown colored, very hazy opaque beer. Smell not much, just sweetness. Taste sweet, malts. Not bad for a bock which I usually don’t really like. Decent carbo, medium body.

Bottle @ home shared with DutchDrebus. Hazy medium orange color, big white head. Smells hoppy at first, then weird like paint, then nice again. Taste is good for a tripel. Nice carbo, medium body.
