Description

33 cl bottle bought at the brewery. About 1 year old (bbe Jan. 2016). Clear amber color, huge off white head (keeps growing), good lace. Aroma’s are fruit, grass, fresh hops, malty sweet, acidic, herbal. Flavor is medium bitter with a hint of malty sweetness. Medium bodied, alcohol is warming a bit. Mild bitter finish. Pretty nice.

Hefiger, dunkel herber Beginn, starke Karbonisierung. Kräuterartige Würznoten, gering süß, stärker herb werdend. Dann stärker malzig, vollmundig, seicht bitterer Ausklang. Etwas dünner Hintergrund. Nettes hopfenintensives Bier. 8/8/8/9/7/9

33 cl bottle bought at the brewery (7% - tht 07-2016, called Stout - not Russian Imperial). Very dark color (but not quite black/opaque), firm beige head, good lace. Aroma is sweet, toffeeish, with some berries and a bit of roast. Flavor is medium sweet. Body is on the thin side. Not much happening in the finish. Too sweet for a stout. Not bad, but there’s room for improvement.

33 cl bottle from the brewery. Golden color, white head (quickly receding). Aroma is sweet, caramel, sweet & sour fruit, a hint of citrus. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes with a firm bitterness. Aroma is way too sweet, but it turns out to be a very decent triple.

Thanks bierkoning! Bottle had "De Molen/Alvinne"-syndrome with excessive foam. Slightly hazy amber color and huge off-white head + lace. Malty, yeasty with spicey (white peppery), dusty and alcohol in the nose. Medium-bodied. Yeast, berryish, white peppery and alcoholic flavor. Hops rise in the aftertaste. Quite Belgian Dutch, but way too alcoholic.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass fine turbid, huge head. Starts mild, modest yeasty, some fruity-sourish notes. Finish still mild, almost a bit salty, could be more intense. But quite drinkable. Okay.

Thanks bierkoning! Murky brown color, mostly vanishing white head. Aroma of chocolate, candi sugar and yeast. Medium-bodied. Yeasty, caramelly, some chocolate, vegetables and alcohol. Very homebrewish.
