About
Breckenridge Brewery opened its doors in 1990 in the mountain town of Breckenridge, Colorado. It’s the third-oldest craft brewery in the state. In 1992, our second brewpub in downtown Denver opened. In the summer of 2015 a new production brewery was opened in Littleton. After 26 years, the focus is still on creating well-balanced, approachable, and interesting beers while also creating memorable visitor experiences. In 2016 Breckenridge Brewery became a unit of AB InBev.

Dark reddish-brown color with a medium thick tan head with decent retention. The lacing is pretty good, it coats much of the glass. Strong vanilla aroma along with some chocolate and malt. Medium body, smooth with just a bit of carbonation. Flavors of vanilla bean, roasted malt and more chocolate. The finish maintains the vanilla theme, with a nice nutty flavor in the aftertaste. Unlike a lot of Breckenridge beers, I would actually seek this out to try again.

This is a solid Imperial IPA. There is a sweet malt base, and the hops compliment, rather than dominate. Aroma of herbal hops. Flavor is sweet malt and floral hops. Alcohol is well hidden by the aroma and flavor. Lightly carbonated, and the bottle was a touch under-filled.

Bottle. Hazy orange colour with an off-white head. Sweet hoppy malty grapefruit aroma. Sweet malty very hoppy flavor, with hints of pine needles. Dry malty hoppy burning finish with a bitter aftertaste.

Bottle #565/1200. Pours an amber colour with an off-white head. Malty dusty aroma with some fruity hints. Sweet malty flavor with yeasty hints and hints of caramel. Malty finish with some bitterness.

Tap, at 471 Kalamath location. Gold color, not much head. Not really much flavor in this one, though did detect some malt. I thought my glass had been dirty, but first tasted same as second. Nothing special.

Bottle. Small head on top of dark brown body. Moderate nose has aromas of burnt malts, chocolate, vanilla and plastic, a combination not all that enticing. The sweet vanilla is up front in the flavor, but there is also a moderate bitterness in the finish and an undertone of malts. Midly acidic. Medium body with watery texture.

Pour is a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is faint but there is some roasted malts giving off a chocolate aroma. Flavor is a bit better. Some chocolate and toffee with a nutty and vanilla aftertaste. Pretty decent.

Hazy amber color, creamy head, nice lace. Very nice aroma of hops, with resins and fruits. Good malt taste, full mouthfeel, with very good resiny hops, and long final.

The final is long and quite strong, with sweet caramel and hop, some resins. Humble IIPA, fresh; interesting end enjoyable for being so balanced between the sweetness and the bitterness.
