Draft - Tons of aromatic soapy notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Tastes just as soapy as it smells.

Can at the Zoo. Pours a dark mahogany color with a medium white head. A nice light vanilla and chocolate nose. The flavor is vanilla, toast, some cola, a bit of chocolate. Sweet and light. Solid beer.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Golden color, clean. Mild, not very sour, with perceived salt, and a mild herbal touch, more evident basil rather than Kaffir.
Not the kind of beer I long for, but clean and well made.

Bottle from Albertsons. A bit underwhelming, in all categories. For a citrus IPA, I’m not getting it. Very astringent bitterness, a touch metallic. Comes off as a very bitter APA. Clear golden body, small unsubstantial head. Hoppy aroma, big, biting hoppy taste, the only citrus that comes to mind is lemons.

Amber with slight haze. Thin head. Floral, lime leaf, thai basil all in there. Tart, good body, nice balance. These flavours are nice. Delicate, composed Thai flavours with a clean, balanced kettle sour.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is hugely floral, with the basil and lime leaves showing big time, not much in the way of citrus or salt. Flavour is similar, with the kaffir lime and basil showing up big time upfront, transitioning to citrus and only a slight hint of salt. Unusual gose, but competently brewed. Decent.

650 ml bottle. Pours a thick cloudy orange amber. Aromas of burnt fruit which could be peach. Flavors of dark esters, earth and more burnt fruit. Absolutely horrible.
