Bottle from HoTM. It pours lightly hazy deep amber with a medium, fluffy off - white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, earthy, woody, spicy, grass, pleasant floral character and rivita. The taste is firmly dry upfront, big hit of lingering bitterness, spicy, wood, leather, varnish, floral, potpourri, slight soapiness, grass, rivita and a touch of alcohol with a lingering spicy, floral finish. Medium body and average carbonation. An interesting and quite unique flavour profile for a lager. Enjoyable.

33cl from House of Trembling Madness. It pours clear red - brown with a thick yellow - white head. The aroma is earthy, nutty, doughy brown bread, rivita, cereal, warming spice, hint of ginger and nutmeg. The taste is firmly dry, nice big hit of bitterness which lingers, freshly cut grass toothy malt, brown bread, malt loaf, rivita, cereal, earth, wood, depth of spice and just a touch of gingerbread. Finish is lingering bitterness and spice. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Nice example of the style. I like that fresh bitter hit, elevates it above the average.

The taste is firmly dry and bitter, grassy, spicy, woody, cereal, rivita, mild astringency, resin, nutty and biscuit with a lingering bitter finish. Average body and moderate+ carbonation. Fresh and rather bitter. Felt quite intense initially, but grew on me.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear honey-gold with a foamy, white head. Lovely toasted cereal and biscuit character, light sweetness, a little grassy bitterness, hay. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with husky cereal, more biscuity malts, bitter straw. I liked it very much.

Bottle from I guess Albert Budějovicka. Clear amber body, slightly off white head, thick, fairly lasting. Sweaty aroma, banana, caramel... maybe tropical, but nooot what one wants to go for in an IPA. Lean, dry taste, tropical touch going towards light paint and caramel, astringent, dry, lightly phenolic, going into a fairly sub par bitterness. They have tweaked their recipe - used to claim 3 hops one of which is Citra, now it's Citra and Chinook (might've been before too), but this is still a sub par IPA, and, actually, a sub par Jarošovský pivovar beer as their lagers are generally quite nice. Sigh... Czech random brewery IPAs.... Can't finish it, the mouthfeel kills it.
