Black beer with thin head. Smells like expensive dark chocolate and caramel malt. Good body. Notes of coffee, vanilla, cocoa. Finish has late lingering rum. Very very nice.

(Bottle) Pours clear amber with good off-white head. Lovely aroma - pine with hints of stone fruit. Medium body with excellent carbonation giving soft mouthfeel with bright sparkle. Lovely balanced rich taste. Plenty of toffee malt overlaid with fresh crisp flavours - fruit and pine - slowly developing peppery spice and then hoppy bitterness. Excellent.

(Bottle) Pours clear golden amber with short-lived small white head. Subtle fairly pleasant aroma - dough with hints of sweet fruit. Medium body, well carbonated. Unusual taste, not unpleasant, but different - dough, nondescript fruitiness, some peppery spice that develops into a bitter finish. Ok, but odd.

355ml can into shaker. Red copper ale with a perfect head of froth atop. Laces a little. Carbonation is high. Nose is sickly sweet malt with a little smokiness. Lightly bitter and spritzy with some smoky sweetness right at the end. Somewhere between a Scottish Ale and a Scotch Ale. Easy drinking and tasty.
