Bottle. Cloudy yellow, low head. Grainy marzipan aroma. Medium light body. Tastes like a mazarin cake, light hop aromatics in the finish. It has a distinctive flavour, that is for sure - I’m just not sure that is what I am looking for in a pale ale - more in a triple maybe.

Bottle. Orange amber, low offwhite head. Light papery malt, metallic earthy bittering hops. Medium light body. Clayish herbal finish. Did not get much of the aromatic hops - old bottle (bb feb 16)?

From a 330ml bottle on 22/10/2015. Pours a clear deep golden with a medium head. Has a mild aroma of caramel with a bit of fruit on top. Take a sip and there’s a decent dash of caramel malt, some indistinct fruitiness, and a moderate hop bittereness. I can’t detect any Sauvin in there at all. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Doesn’t really present as an IPA for mine, as it’s pretty light on for hops. More a just decent, malt forward APA.

From a 500ml bottle on 28/2/2015 (shared by Butz with thanks). pours a cloudy deep golden with a small head. Has a mild caramel malt nose. In the mouth, there’s a moderate amount of caramel and toffee with some modest bitterness finishing things off. Medium bodied and average carbonation. Unexciting but okay.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear orange amber colour, large frothy off-white head and nice aroma of passionfruit & floral citrus hop. Taste is malt caramel with tropical fruits, tangy grapefruit and resiny pine bitterness. Foamy mouth feel, medium bodied, high carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable IPA.

(bottle) Very dark with pale tan head. Aroma is slightly tangy. Light body well carbonated giving superb mouthfeel. Excellent flavour with lovely balance between the sweet rich elements and the tarter ones.Distinct presence of chocolate and coffee at start transforming to a pleasant bitter finish. I am generally not fond of porters as I find the style has too much vinegary sourness, but this is very well done. A great porter; rich and complex but with elegance, clarity and balance.
