Description
There's been a cider house here at Uphay Farm for hundreds of years. Way back then, the reputation of your cider would attract the best workers to help bring in the harvest. What could be more refreshing than a quart of cellar cool cider at the end of a hard day in the fields? Now, we just have a passion for making cider. Made the way that it should be, from the finest, traditional West Country apples pressed together for balance and taste...

Our cider is fermented using the wild yeasts that are naturally present in pressed juice. We only use 100% pressed apple juice, and you can taste that we'd never add water or juice to lower the ABV when bottling.

500ml bottle bought from Scrattings Cider and drunk at home. Mid- to dark gold, clear with a little bit of fizz. Tart apple skin in the aroma with a Funk of fruity fink. Gorgeous taste with apples and oak character. A bit of tartness in the finish, with some carbonation covering up the watery body. Oak notes in the aftertaste. The best of the ciders I've had lately.

Bottle at Roger and Sue's, picked up from Aleway, 17/09/21. Clear golden pour with a fast collapsing white cap. Nose is crisp apple, vague funk, caramel, sweet notes. Taste comprises bitter sweet apple, toffee, tannins, sugar dusting, apple skins. Medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, moderate drying close. Decent flavoursome cider ... could lose a little of the sweetness for me.
