Description
Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co. was founded in 2011 by Rassul Zarinfar and Ryan Robertson as an effort to bring Houston the type of beer they both love to drink.

What began with a home-brewer's vision, sprouted to producing & self-distributing only draught in 2012 and all the way to 8,000 barrels produced in kegs, cans and bombers, state wide distribution and 74 total beers in 2018.

On tap at Christmas in July. Pours a cloudy gold with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat, cream, faint nuts. Medium body, crisp, wheat, not much pistachio flavor, a little bland.

On tap at Christmas in July. Pours black with creamy tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong rum, wood, cocoa. Medium body, roast, cocoa, nice sweetness from the rum, really nice.

On tap at Christmas in July. Pours a hazy brown with medium beige head. Aroma is maple and bready malt. Similar flavors to nose, nice take on the original, very good.

On tap at Christmas in July. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with medium frothy head that lasts. The aroma is wheat, watermelon, pepper. Medium body, juicy, wheat watermelon, light finish, crushable, very good.

On tap at Christmas in July. Pours a cloudy copper with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong garlic and basil. Medium body, nice sweetness, spice garlic, umami. boozy finish, very good.

4 oz draft goblet taster at Lone Star Taps & Caps in Lewisville, Texas. The pour is a black brown with a small tan head with nice lace. The aroma is roast malt along with some sweet toffee and some warming alcohol towards the back. The taste is the roast malt, with coffee notes and earth mineral towards the back. There is a nice hint sweet toffee and cinnamon throughout. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and roast in the warming dry alcohol finish. Nice.
