Description
Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co. was founded in 2011 by Rassul Zarinfar and Ryan Robertson as an effort to bring Houston the type of beer they both love to drink.
What began with a home-brewer's vision, sprouted to producing & self-distributing only draught in 2012 and all the way to 8,000 barrels produced in kegs, cans and bombers, state wide distribution and 74 total beers in 2018.

Bottle. Pours clear reddis black, medium creamy brown head, dissipates fairly slowly, good lacing. Aroma is cinnamon, clove, allspice, nutmeg, roasted malts. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, lots of spices -- too many -- lots of clove as well. Medium light body, some acidity.

Location: Bottle shared at Max and Andy's Tasting, 2/28/15
Aroma: The nose is on the sweet side, chocolate, a little roast, and some fruity notes
Appearance: Pours a brown-black color with a decent sized brown head and lace
Flavor: The flavor is medium sweet, very similar to the aroma component-wise
Palate: It has a pretty good overall mouthfeel, lighter for the style, but not particularly watery
Overall Impression: This is probably not a beer I'd want to drink regularly, but as a once in a while type of thing, it works fairly well.

Somehow I never rated this one while I was spending as much time in Houston as I have, then it shows up at a tasting in NJ. As for the beer, it is very solid, with a good flavor combination. Clean and hoppy, slightly boozy. Not too bad

Bottle. Pours mahogany, small tan head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is raspberries and cocoa. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, tons of raspberry, skins and stems, chocolate. Lightish body, high carb. Raspberry stouts seldom turn my crank, and this one is no exception.
