Description
Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co. was founded in 2011 by Rassul Zarinfar and Ryan Robertson as an effort to bring Houston the type of beer they both love to drink.
What began with a home-brewer's vision, sprouted to producing & self-distributing only draught in 2012 and all the way to 8,000 barrels produced in kegs, cans and bombers, state wide distribution and 74 total beers in 2018.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thin off-white head that fades fast. Aroma of coriander seed, fresh wheat, grass, hay, bunches of yeast and a bit of sweetness from fruit. Light to Medium-bodied; Sharp pungent flavour of alcohol, tart lemons, yeast, grain, coriander seed and a dose of dry wheat. Aftertaste shows some pungency with the malt, yeast, grain, coriander seed and alcohol all coming through, nothing too terribly mild - the flavours are all in the face, perhaps in a good way. Overall, a decent wit with some deep and strong flavours, but still that ’cooling’ flavour from the coriander seed is noticeable. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Spec’s in Dallas, Texas on 11-November-2015 for US$1,46 sampled at home in Washington on 13-June-2016.

Shared 22 oz. bottle. Pours almost black with a tan head that rapidly recedes to a thin film. Taste and aroma are surprisingly enough.....gingerbread. Maybe a bit of roasted malt coming through, but this is all gingerbread. Ginger, nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon. It’s as advertised, but the spices are too heavy for my tastes.
