500ml bottle at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Gold colour, thing white head. Bit of puke on aroma, but some citrus as well. OK and pale lagery in mouth, with a quite likeable finish. Carbonation prickle adds to the hop bite and lemony finish. It’s fine. OK lager, bit of puke is not nice though 2.0/5. Re-rate. Having finished the rest of the bottle, I like the sherberty finish so it went up a bit to 2.4/5

Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. (as Baltas Kvictinis Alus) Yellow-orange, hazy weizen with a nice white head. Wheat, malt, banana and cloves in the aroma. The flavor is wheat, banana and cloves. Medium body and nice Co2-level. Nice baltic hefeweizen. Rating: 7-4-7-3-14-3.5. 060826
On tap at the Wharf. A creamy, two-finger thick white head sits on top of an unclear, yellowish orange body. Some lacings. The aroma has cloves and bubble gum up at first, soon followed by banana and some lemon. Wheat too. the flavor has a nice lemony acidity to deal with the banana and bubble gum. Some cloves, and towards the end there’s a nice bitterness. Medium to full body, effervescent and quite dry. A very refreshing beer, tasteful too. 111106

RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting, as Svyturys Baltas Kvictinis Alus. ABV is 5.2%. Golden colour, hazy, large head. Typical weissbier aroma and flavour: cloves and ripe bananas. An okay weissbier.

0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ozujsko (thanks !). This poured a beautiful misty deep red colour with a medium sized thick white-going-tan head that went away at a medium pace. The nose surprised me. A huge, nice, aroma of (not artificial) pineapple struck me. It later on disappeared, and started being only toffee/caramel. Medium/light body with intensive (for the style), crude-ish hoppy bitterness and caramel. Naturally, hops dominate the aftertaste as well. A very interesting beer and a pleasant surprise. My first encounter with a Lithuanian beer went well. Would have called this a Vienna sooner than Märzen, but others know better I guess. Interesting... the numbers are quite similar to the two before it, and I’ve never seen those before (wrote the numbers down with my notes as I drank the beer).

Bottled(500ml). -Sweet malty aroma with notes of hop and rice. All beers that I’ve tried in Lithuania were (a bit) too sweet, so I think that this kind of sweetness is typical for all Lithuanian lagers.
