Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Sweetish grainy malt and light grassy bittering hop. Light to mild bittersweet flavour. Medium body. Okay, sweetish, drinkable but dull.

Fles met label 2024. Roodbruin bier met heel weinig schuim wat een beetje te verwachten was. Smaak is behoorlijk zoet en fruitig met veel rozijnen, pruimen, wat vanille en wat wijn. Voor mij en heel goed bier maar kan me voorstellen dat het voor liefhebbers van minder zoet bier tegen valt.

Can: Poured a amber color Marzen with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some clean cereal notes. Taste is also a mix of clean cereal notes with some caramel notes and light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable Marzen with good drinkability.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. At some point this has been stored on its side, and a yeasty deposit settled around the cap. I kept it upright, and this yeast then came out in lumps when pouring. So it's not a looker, lots of floaters in the hazy amber pour. Nice off-white head. Aromas of red fruit, caramel, bread. Taste has honey, more red fruit, toffee and nuts. Light sweet finish.

Appearance - reddish brown with a thin beige head.
Nose - cherries, red fruits generally and cherry stone. Brown bread, malt loaf and raisins. Figs, dates and general syrup.
Taste - figs in syrup, malt loaf and tinned orange.
Palate - medium bodied, plus, chewy middle and finish.
Overall - definitely the most interesting beer to try in a while and with no adjuncts - how refreshing!!!
