Phoenix Brewery was registered in 1874, brewing directly from the Brewery tower and owning over 100 pubs in the local area. Phoenix’s history is still proudly displayed on our seven-story tower.
Building upon our strong foundations, we continue to brew Tony’s longstanding classic beers, whilst introducing innovative new brews. The team are looking forward to welcoming you to our Brewery site – soon to be open to the public for the first time in our history!
In 1996 it took the decision to trade as the name of the brewery Phoenix Brewery.

Cask (handpump) @ The New Oxford, 11 Bexley Sq, Salford, Manchester, England M3 6DB.Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, sour fruit, light hoppy, light yeasty, dough. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120120]

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Half shared with Finn, from cask at The Market Porter, Borough. Lasting filmy layer, Yellow-gold body. Smell of lemony hops. Fresh tropical fruity taste and fresh fruity aftertaste, mid-dry. Soft on the swallow. Refreshing (London, 04.11.2012).
