500ml bottle: Labelled as 'Bayern Liebe Helles' (and 'Gwandlaus'). Obtained from Web-Bier. Drank at home on 23rd Dec 2020 while preparing food for a Raclette. This is pretty bland to be honest, looks OK, bright and clean pale golden colour, white head (that fades quickly). Just not enough malts or hops used to give it any real aroma or taste, it's refreshing enough and would be fine on a hot summers day, maybe.

Riecht recht lecker. Sommerblumenwiese trifft Getreidefeld. Geschmacklich ist auch Getreide vorherrschend und wird von fruchtigen und floralen Nuancen ergänzt. Obwohl ehr auf der süßen Seite, ist auch eine deutlich bitter Note zu finden. Etwas zu viel Kohlensäure. Ein recht brauchbares Helles.

On tap at Gaststätte Röhrl. Clear golden, white head. Bit metallic on nose which goes away eventually. Malty, bready, sweet.

Had this again a couple of times since including today a bottle picked up from Trinkgut Getrankemarkt, Bad Kötzting and consumed at home listening to ByteFM after eating a Fish Finger Bhorta, Wednesday 24th July 2024. Pours mid gold, soft mouthfeel, not much bitterness, a little bit too sweet but it's better than my initial score (see below) Bottle picked up from Edeka, Zolling and consumed at home Attenkirchen Sunday 15th December 2019 listening to Snapped Ankles, btw the Special Chicken Biryani from Dan Toombs, Curry Guy book was good. Pours clear gold with a white head, looks good. Soft mouthfeel, easy going Helles, a little sweetness, there is a little bitterness and you can discern the hops, however its very run of the mill.

Offenbar ist das Original ein dunkles Weizen. Was mich verwundert, da es auch eine dunkle Straubinger Weisse gibt. Süffig, spritzig, genügend Substanz, recht wohlschmeckend, gutes Mundgefühl. Aber vielleicht etwas zu viel Kohlensäure. Dem hellen Straubinger naturtrüb nicht unähnlich, allerdings deutlich röstmalziger. Ein gutes Bier, geschmacklich nicht uninteressant und mit eigenem Charakter. „Straubinger Weisse die schmeckt. Ja, mia ham’s lang scho entdeckt.“, so sang es früher aus dem Radio. Entdeckt hab ich es aber jetzt erst.

Das „Naturtrüb“ ist das helle Straubinger Weizen. Erinnert mich etwas an die Turm Weisse von Kuchlbauer. Ausgewogenes Verhältnis zwischen Weichheit und Spritzigkeit, Süffigkeit und Substanz. Leicht alkoholige Note. Wie die Original Straubinger Weisse ein feines, charaktervolles Bier, mit tollem Mundgefühl. Straubinger Weisse die schmeckt.
