Dark brown with medium beige head. Sweet malty aroma with yeast and overripe fruits. Flavor is sweet with roasted malt, yeast, prunes and caramel. Go for the originals...

750ml bottle picked up at The Fine Food store at Kastrup airport. Nice appearance with its deep and clear mahogany body under a thin, off-white head. Smell of spices with dark fruits. Much the same goes for the taste with added notes of dark, caramel malts. Too sweet, not so well bodied and distracting alcohol (sampled at a party in Tromsø, 13.01.2008).

Bottle. (RBNAG 07) A clear, golden beer, slightly pale maybe, with a small, off-white head. Quite malty aroma with some hops and a hint of wheat flour. The flavor is a bit banana-fruity, with a sweet maltyness to follow it. Quite sweetish and fruity finish. Medium body. Another nice try from Jacobsen, but I don’t think it will be a regular in their lineup. I don’t think it’s going to define the future Nordic beer. (071103)

This ale poured a clear light yellow colour with a bright white tall foamy head. To the nose there are scents of yeast, corn, egg, hopps and pepper. First taste is sharply carbonated with flavours of corn, allspice, egg, yeast and a slight winer colour. The finish is hoppy with a little bit of bitterness that turns almost sweet at the very end.

This lager poured a deep red colour with a rocky bright white head. to the nose there was scents of wine, malt, ripe fruit and oranges. First taste was almost spiced in flavour with tastes of oatmeal, wine and ripe fruit. A little bitter at the finish and that odd flavour of oatmeal at the end. Some spice but can’t put my finger on the right one. Maybe Allspice???

500ml bottle @ RBNAG’07. Clear golden body with a rather small white head. Aroma is pleasant citrus hoppy. Flavor is pretty light malty with a refreshing hoppyness. Medium body. It’s light, nice and harmonic, but NOT an IPA. More like a bitter for a warm summer day.
