Bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of prunes, tar, molasses, light smoke. Taste is more of the same, light cocoa on top. Dry finish.

Bottle from the Black Toad. Appearance - mat black and solid, thin beige head. Nose - light prunes and dark chocolate. Taste - dark, sweet chocolate, prunes and light roast. Palate - medium to full bodied, creamy, sweet and then roasty finish. Overall - lovely beer.

Bottle from the Black Toad. Appearance - mat black with a thin tan head. Nose - brown bread with an edge of toffee. Taste - a wee bit of molasses, then burnt wood and roast. Palate - medium bodied, roasty and smoky finish. Overall - it's ok. Decent example of the style.
