Creators of Fine Ales and Gins Since 1992. Branscombe Brewery is an award winning micro brewery based on the glorious East Devon Coast.

Draft at GBBF 2013 - London. Pours clear, dark brown with a creamy beige head. Sugary chocolate in the nose, slight mocha. Light to medium sweet flavour with more chocolate and light vanilla crème. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet in the finish with bread and cocoa. Good mild.

Cask at The Watford Beer Festival 2013. Poured a slightly hazy dark amber colour with a halo of off white head. Aroma was nutty with some floral hop and apple notes. Sweet, malty flavour with caramel and some grass. Palate was straw, toffee and stale malts.

20th October 2013
Bottle drank on hols in St Ives. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and dry with a little fine carbonation. Rich malt, touches of cream and unsweet toffee. Little marmite. Spicy bubblegum ester and light dried fruits. Dry finish. It’s okay, lots going on but the sum of the parts ... etc

Cask @ GBBF 2013. Pours a ruby black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty caramel flavor with weak hints of vanilla. Has a roasted malty caramel finish.

Poured from cask at GBBF 2013. Deep dark brown coloured body. Missing head. Dotted spots to the glass. Dried fruits and brown malty nose. Sweet malty taste, hints of vanilla ice cream. Dry ending. Easy to drink. A respectable mild version (London Olympia 13.08.2013).

Cask-conditioned at the Bridge Inn, Topsham 15/9/2013. Golden with a slight white head. Light fruitiness with a hint of lemon, a trace of sulphur and decent, bitter finish. Fine.

From cask. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is vanilla and chocolate malty. Bitter, vanilla and chocolate powdery. Perfumy vanilla. Medium dry malty finish.

Cask at GBBF 2013. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, toast, cocoa, dark fruit, raisin and light caramel. The taste is earth, light toast, roasty, cocoa, dark fruit and mild caramel with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent chocolate aspect. Not bad.

GBBF Day 1. Almost clear brown beer. Little pale tan head. Light palate, a little dry, not much carbonation. Rich dark chocolate malts. Mild dark fruits. Dry finish. Pretty choccy but flat.

On tap at Gbbf 2013. Deep ruby lasting beige head. It’s got a lit of plum fruit. Like a plum pudding good condition. Some dryness on the finish. Ok.
