0,33 flaske delt med fhv. skibsreder, romjulsrating på Bjørnøy: åpning med futt. Lett uklar kobbergylden med fint skum som varer. Hint av furunål, gressløk og andre urter. Litt overkarbonert. Fin bitterhet i avslutningen, men helhetsinntrykket er slapt og uten interesse for denne ganen.

Bottle. It pours an unclear reddish brown body with an orange hue. A nice beige head leaves cute lacing. The aroma has a hint of diacetyl, but is more on the toffee-ish, bready side. Some orange marmalade-ish hops chiming in, taking about half the scene. It's full to medium bodied and nicely carbonated, with a decent bitterness. Orange marmalade, some pine cones and a touch of grass in the flavor, along with toffee and some bread. Medium length finish. Sort of throwback-ish this one, and a bit heavy on the malty side I think, but a decent brew anyway. 210109

Bottle. It's an unclear orangey brown beer with a nice finger-thick beige head. Mostly fruity aroma, peaches doing most of the work, else it's just a generic fruityness, along with a touch of burnt rubber that luckily diminishes quickly, and a lightly roasted maltyness. Nuts and some chocolate. The beer has a good body for it's strength, with a pleasant carbonation level. Semi-dry, with flavors of roasted malts, nuts, some dark chocolate and canned peaches. Some of that burnt rubber too unfortunately. Medium length finish. Pity about the burnt rubber, else it's a decent brew for the season. 210109

330 ml bottle, batch #100044, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.7%. Amber colour, small head, slightly off-white. Aroma of malts, jam / marmalade and a hint of pine. Malty and grainy flavour, stale jam in the background, moderate piney hops and a little citrus in the finish.

Bottle. An unclear orange colored beer with a small white head. The aroma has some pleasant mango and pine cones, with a touch of pale malts and quite a lot of oxidation. There's quite a lot of mango flavor and generic fruityness, with some pine cones and a touch of pale malts. Oxidized flavor too. Medium bodied, pleasantly carbonated and semi-sweet. Mango finish. Pity about the oxidation, else it's a decent brew. 200613

Bottle. A massive off-white head forms over a hazy deep golden to amber body. Mostly malty aroma, with bread, toffee and a touch of yeast. Some fruityness too, pine cones and grass chiming in. It's medium to full-bodied, a bit heavy on carbonation, and quite dry, with a distinct bitterness. Mostly malty flavor too, bread, caramel and some hints of prunes. As in the aroma, the hops are far from abundant. Some piney and grassy notes in the back. Malt driven finish too. Not much of an American Pale Ale, but sure drinkable. 200613
