Bottle from trade with Bryne. Almost clear, deep golden body with a medium sized white head. Aroma is grain with quite much yeast, not much more really. Taste is sweet and malty, hint of caramel and fruity yeast. Moderate bitterness. Medium body and moderate aftertaste with a bitterness that feels a bit harsh at the end. Nothing special, but a drinkable old school kinda homebrew type beer. Definitively not a brown ale.

Bottle from trade with Bryne. Slightly unclear pale golden body with a nice, medium sized foamy head. A it unusually aroma for a pilsner, pale malt, yeast, quite grassy and a bit floral/herbal. Taste is….. well quite much taste but needs a few more sips to decide if its god or not. The pilsener malt is a bit in the background, distinct but far from your everyday pilsner. Actually quite refreshing fruity flavor with herbs but it seems to fight with a less attractive yeasty flavor. Average bitterness for a lager. Medium body and same aftertaste. I’m in doubt about the flavor, normally not too keen on the average pilsner and this is definitively different. Still a bit unsure if this is intended or just a miss. It’s sure drinkable and I’m convinst if this was my home brew in 1997 it would have been a popular one, at least by my closest friends but it’s not a great brew by 2020 standard. Getting closer to the bottom of the bottle I’m getting a bit more used to the taste and it’s not bad but not very exiting either. Almost decent seems to be the correct expression here and if sitting down in Sirdals only brewpub I would definitively prefer this above Carlsberg & Co.

Bottle. A hazy orange colored beer with a frothy off-white head. Mostly yeasty aroma, with sulfur, some fruityness and bread. Some perfumed notes. The flavor too is quite yeasty, but there's more room for fruityness and malts, with a distinct forest touch blending in. Juniper. It's quite effervescent, with a medium body fullness and a light sweetness. Long citrusy, piney finish with lots of yeast and some sulfur. An interesting concept, but with a bad result. Drainpour. 191222

Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 11.12.19. Clear pale copper. Diminishing beige head. Fine aroma and taste of pale malt, red berries, dried fruits, caramel and syrup. Moderate sweetness and bitterness is well balanced. Very quaffable. More like a polotmavy than a pale ale.

330 ml bottle, batch #0005, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. ABV is 4.5%. Pale golden colour, huge white head. Strong aroma of yeast, sweetish pilsener malts and grassy and herbal hops. The flavour is fairly sweet and yeasty, with decent herbal hops in the finish. Overall too yeasty to deserve a higher rating.
