Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Paul. Lightly hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, dry and crispy. Mild minerals. A mild wet wood dankness. Light sourness and mild dry seltzer. Touch of lemon. Dry finish. Slightly odd but drinkable.

Bottle split at Bruce’s Pad, big thanks to Paul S Copey, 24/06/14. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white swirl. Nose is funky, ripe fruit, tangy apricot, brett pangs, light smoke, tangy satsuma, straw, touch musty, citric sherbets. Taste comprises zingy orange, apricot, lighter brett than on the nose, sweaty rinse, straw, funk. Medium bodied, fine cabronation, semi drying close. Solid saison but the taste fell away a little when contrasted with the nose.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours mostly clear, bright orange-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has ripe and tart lemon, some honeysuckle, hints of pale bread. Light sweet flavor with modest acidity, orange, Tang, some pale and tangy wood, a bit of lemon rind. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with further lemony tang, faint herbs, Sprite, pine needles. Interesting stuff. Pretty nice.

Bottle picked up at the brewery. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is earthy, musty, funk, dust, old attic, blue cheese and old sweaty socks. The taste is earthy, funky, red grapefruit, sherbet, candied orange peel, blood orange, spice and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and conservative carbonation. I’m not in to that sweaty smell, but it tastes decent. Ok.
