Description
There's a method in Mr Winter's madness. From the brew to the bottle, we carefully consider every element of our range to give you a taste of the unexpected.

With IPAs, golden ales and stouts in our range, we have a beer for every palate. From light and fruity, to dark and nutty, each one combines high-quality hops with barely, water and yeast to create a unique, full-bodied flavour.

Started in September 2001 by Dave Winter, as Winter’s Brewery. In early 2020, the brewery changed it's branding to the current MrWinter’s.

Cask, Gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, Oxon, 09-05-09 One of just two beers that I bothered to rate yesterday. Poured amber with no head. Taste and aroma were a bit too soft and soapy for my liking, in fact I just kept thinking of washing up liquid. Not great unfortunately. A5 A4 F5 P2 Ov10 2.6

Cask (gas dispense) at Duke of Connaught, Norwich. The name is a pun on Guinness. Very very deep ruby with lasting beige head. Choccy smooth stout. Slightly sweet, but a rather choc/charcoal finish. Bit of dark toffee. Actually a bit too sweet for me. Decent timgly finish though.

Cask (gas dispense) at Duke of Connaught, Norwich. It’s a dark mild. Nice malt finish. Very dark brown with lasting beige head. Decent dark roasted aroma, oddly perfumed for a mild (parfait amour). Good tingle on end. A mild to keep you interested.

Cask handpull at Duke of Connaught, Norwich. Gold, lasting beige head. Good grapefruity golden bitter, bit sweet maybe, not as sharp and hoppy on finish as I would probably like. A bit nutty. Bit of candy sugar, some sherbert and hop.

Cask handpull at Duke of Connaught, Norwich. Hazy gold, lasting beige head. Very tangeriney, the flavours last in the mouth. Bit of hop to balance. Quite drinkable, bit of washing up liquid to the fruits, but otherwise fine.
