Description
Anders Kissmeyer takes the concept of craft brewing very seriously, but at the same time he is also a curious and creative brewer who takes pride in driving the craft towards new heights and in new directions. Rooted in these passions, we will present new takes on well known beer types, along with brand new unique directions and styles.
Anders Kissmeyer is a much larger name in the rest of the world than he is in his own country. This will be reflected in a number of collaboration brews. Beers he brews in collaboration with his large network of friends among the best international brewmasters. To fully unfold our ambitions, we have chosen to present all of the KISSMEYER beers in a number of distinct portfolios, each with a conceptual idea of it’s own.
'Kissmeyer Beer and Brewing’ is my company, launched in 2010 after I ended my 10 year carreer with Nørrebro Bryghus. Longue description The company spans over three main areas of business - ’Kissmeyer Beer’ is my beer brand offering my own and collaborative beers at home and abroad. ’Kissmeyer Brewing’ is my consultancy business offering services related mainly to the brewing industry. Finally, under the collective name ’Kissmeyer Beer & Brewing’ I offer a wide range of communication services incl. beer tastings and presentations

Hazy golden. Aroma is grapes sweet lime a few berries and cookie dough. Taste is squeaky green unripeness. A bit like a fresh weizen. Meh.

Can with the München Ratebeer Group, courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas! Wednesday 1st July 2020 at Dave's. Pours cloudy yellowy with a white head. Fruity but a little dull the other beer outstrips this in terms of taste.

Can from a supermarket. Nice head on medium-hazy yellow amber. Tropical fruity, citrus-orange, peach-apricot light pine aroma. Flavor is definitely fruit-forward, like OJ from concentrate. Too bad it doesn't taste more like fresh oranges. Bitterness is very minor at the end, not really IPA level. The New England IPA from the series was better.

Can. Murky yellow, white lacing foam. Orange juice peeks through in the aroma. Medium body, juicy, tart notes from the oranges, light tropical, hides beer flavors well. The neipa was more interesting, ok Radler though.

Supermarket can. Barely hazy, big head on yellow amber. Nose has a lot of pine, tropical fruit as well, with a hint of West Coast dankness. The flavor is really WC-Pale Ale, refreshing & sessionable, but pretty one-dimensional and definitely not fitting NEIPA. Piney notes dominate, with less citrus/grapefruit - not sure how they get that less-complex flavor out of the huge variety of hops.

Can with the München Ratebeer Group, courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas! Wednesday 1st July 2020 at Dave's. Nice aroma, soft citrussy notes, sweet in the mouth, not as juicy as expected, a little citrussy bite, not a great deal of hoppiness but absolutely fine.

Bottle. Cloudy golden with floaties, offwhite lace. Lightly cheesy tropical hop nose, medium body, a bit sticky west coast sensibility, tropical, but too much burn compared to juiciness. Very leafy finish.
