Pendle Beer Festival 2015. Mid-yellow with a small head. Has a honey sweet aroma which is slightly less stated in its taste but still evident. There’s a smoothness to its texture as well.

Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Very dark ruby red with a creamy head. This is also called ’Winter Warmer’ under the name which I bought this, but am assured it’s the same ale. For 5.2% it’s a very thin tasting ale with only a modicum of winter fruitiness in its taste behind an extremely light spiciness. It’s nose packs a little more character with a small fruity sweetness evident here.

On tap at the Red Squirrel. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - flowers and custard. Taste - tangy orange and creme brulee. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - interesting but more interesting than good. Sum of the parts is good though.
