Description
Established in 2010 as WharfeBank Brewery, reportedly brewed at Fox Brewing Company.

They brewed on their own 20BBL plant, located in Poole In Wharfedale, Otley, in April 2010.

The brewery closed in Spring 2015 with production shifting to becoming contract brewed at Hambleton in 2016.

Beers sold under the Firestorm name "are what happens when Brewer Steve plays.".

Cask @ Fighting Cock, Bradford Very dark with an off-white creamy head. It’s its smoothness that is dominant here, with very milky but light roasted chocolate malts.

Draft @ Porterhouse, Covent Garden WC2. Pours an amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel hoppy finish.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear gold. Halo of white head. Very sweet, toffee malts. Fusty hop. Some orange. Some peach. Taste is sticky sweet, turning full on bitter. Sticky, chewy palate. Finishes long bitter. Bit of a dry close. Some nice hop in there, but it’s a bit sticky sweet. Doesn’t come together.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - deep amber with a decent head. Some red chinks. Nose - gentle toffee and a hint of red fruits and nuts. Taste - mostly sweet toffee with a biscuit/nut thing lurking in the background. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall -solid.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Deep Amber colour, almost no head, and quite flat. The aroma has caramel, the taste malts and caramel, just a bit dull.

Cask at the Bow Bar, Edinburgh. Pours amber with off-white head. Malty and light fruit aroma. Malty and caramel flavor. Light to medium body.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. An attractive reddish amber pour with a thin cream head; grainy rye aroma; rich chewy grains in the mouth with a bittersweet taste; and a fresh tingling bitterness to finish. A pleasant beer.
