Pours opaque golden, thick rocky head with high retention. Nose of banana, clove, spicy yeast. Light body. The flavour is dryish, thin and not as pleasant as the aroma. Spicy. Bready. Minimal bitterness in ending. OK

500ml bottle. Pours almost transparent gold with a lot of sediment, with a large white head. After pouring half of the bottle I thought it was a kristallweizen, then I noticed the small heap of sediment that accumulated at the bottom. Aroma is banana. Taste is light sour, bready and fruity. Banana again in the finish. A very cheap hefeweizen (I picked it up for 38 roubles), but there are better Russia-brewed ones out there, Yuzberg or Baltika 8 for example.

Label design is slightly different and strength is 8.1%. Pours gold with a small white head that disappears in seconds. Sweet aroma of bread, malt and alcohol, and a hint of spiciness. Sweet with a big alcoholic finish. This is the one that people who are hard on cash buy to get trashed. Gets harder to drink as it heats up. Do yourself a favour and throw it in the freezer before opening.

50 cl bottle @ Restaurant Šašlik, Helsinki. Bottled 06.03.2014, BBE 06.12.2014
as ”Степан Разин Петровское”
Aroma is fresh with grass, grain, some buttery tones and distant metallic notes. Flavour has some butter, grainy tones and hints of grass. Dry finish. Refreshing and easy-going, better than I expected. Pairs fine with Vorschmack.
