Description
Stannary Brewing Co. is an independent brewery, run by life long friends Mark Stephens, Chris John & Garry White, born out of their love for great beer!

Like all the best ideas Stannary Brewing Company started as a crazy conversation over a few beers in a pub. At that time (around 2015) the craft beer revolution was just taking off in the UK but getting hold of craft beers our side of Bristol was a tough job particularly in our local pubs. So we thought why not open up our own brewery and start to make the full flavoured beers we loved to drink.

Brewing on 20 litre Burco boiler kits, for our own fun and consumption, the experimentation started and in a few short months we were hooked. In early 2016 we decided to take the jump into the commercial brewing world and purchased an ageing micro-brewery plant off eBay.

We puzzled over the brewkit for a few months without much progress. Then in April 2016 we managed to grab the keys to a small garage unit, cobbled the tanks and pipes together and finally started brewing in April 2016. After a few hiccups we eventually sold our first pint in August 2016 and our Stannary dream had become a reality.

In late 2017 the opportunity to find a permanent home for Stannary proved too good to turn down. In January 2018 we moved out of our small garage and moved into our current premises. The new brewery units contain our much loved taproom, ambient warehouse & chilled store and after major personal investment our new state of the art brewhouse and fermentation system was finally commissioned in October 2019.

Kegcdraught at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Light gold and hazy with a small white head and a fair bit of lacing. Fresh aroma of lime and linen. Taste is a bit sweet at first, with lots of lemon juice and gooseberry. Chalky bitterness in the finish. Medium body and carbonation. It's a little strange not sure I'm enamored of it.
