Description
When the young Viennese banker Franz Schaup started brewing beer in 1858, he did not expect his small brewery to develop into one of the most successful breweries in Austria over the years.

In the meantime, the Zipf brewery near the Attersee has a proud 13 beers and 3 types of hops, the refreshment with hop lemonade for adults, to their range. A total of 170 employees work directly at the location in Zipf. They are the ones who ensure that everything runs smoothly every day and are responsible for a large part of the success of the Zipfer brand.

Despite the numerous technical innovations and a merger with Brau Union Österreich AG in 1970, the careful use of resources and brewing with natural hops were always in the foreground.

Cloudy blond color, no head; it has anyway a persistent perlage. Aroma of banana candies and chewing-gum. It has a sweetish flavor, with very light wheat, some banana, no spices, almost no bitterness. If you hate beer, you like this.

bottle. Clear strawy yellow, medium-size head. Grainy, slightly malty and hopy, a bit watery, though. Not bad, but slightly boring.

bottle. Cloudy amber yellow, large and creamy head. Lovely aroma of malt and banana. Very malty, slightly sweet with intensive flavours of banana and hints of citurs fruit. Astonishingly ful-bodied and full of flavour @ only 4.5% ABV. A great Hefeweizen!

bottle. Cloudy strawy pale yellow with a large and creamy head, incredibly persistent. Full-bodied, yet refreshing. Fruity with banana and lemon flavours in good balance. Yeasty and very slightly hoppy. A well-balanced Hefeweizen from Austria.

330ml Bottle- Pale golden in colour with a small head. The aroma is mainly dominated by lemon but there is some malt in there too. Refreshing and clean taste with sweet lemon being very noticeable yet subtle along with some malt. Refreshing but not one to take too seriously.

Big coarseish beige uneven lasting head. Cloudy opaque brown body. Yeasty bananaish aroma with roasty peppery grassy notes. Faint bananaish taste with roasty grassy notes and some herbal traces. Sharp, fizzy mouthfeel. No real aftertaste, just goes empty. Nice, light, boring. (0.5l bottle, Sternbräu, Salzburg.)
