Description
When the young Viennese banker Franz Schaup started brewing beer in 1858, he did not expect his small brewery to develop into one of the most successful breweries in Austria over the years.

In the meantime, the Zipf brewery near the Attersee has a proud 13 beers and 3 types of hops, the refreshment with hop lemonade for adults, to their range. A total of 170 employees work directly at the location in Zipf. They are the ones who ensure that everything runs smoothly every day and are responsible for a large part of the success of the Zipfer brand.

Despite the numerous technical innovations and a merger with Brau Union Österreich AG in 1970, the careful use of resources and brewing with natural hops were always in the foreground.

Bottle picked up from M-Preiss Supermarket, Leutasch, Austria and consumed at our log cabin for the week in Reindlau, Austria, Tuesday 28th December 2021 no mobile data tonight so listening to Hit Radio Ö3, it's a bit iffy but hey this is how it is. We had a couple of Cross Country Skiing Lessons today 'Classic'. Hazy yellowy colour with a white head, classic big banana flavours, super soft, super creamy, drinks super easy for the abv, super tasty, lovely beer.

Pours gold, pretty decent clarity, big malty base, soft moutheel, a little buzzy carbonation, finish is quicker than expected and slightly dry. Abv well hidden, cereal, a little fruity bite.

Bottle in the sun, 22nd July 2021. Pours a fairly clear golden orange for the style. Aroma is bright, aromatic, citrus peel, yeast and banana. Taste is full, slight sharp, citrus, banana, light spice. Just fancied a hefe in the heat wave and this hit the spot.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours lightly hazy orangey - dirty blonde with a medium frothy white head. The aroma is sweet, over ripe banana, foamy banana candy, banana split, warming spice, clove rock, bubblegum, chalky and slightly minty vibes. The taste is dry, fairly crisp for the style, some bitterness, slightly chalky, green banana, foamy banana candy, some warming spice, clove rock and medicinal almost with a shortish, dry finish. Lighter end of medium body and moderate - high, foamy carbonation. Decent, easy going hefe.
