Description
When the young Viennese banker Franz Schaup started brewing beer in 1858, he did not expect his small brewery to develop into one of the most successful breweries in Austria over the years.
In the meantime, the Zipf brewery near the Attersee has a proud 13 beers and 3 types of hops, the refreshment with hop lemonade for adults, to their range. A total of 170 employees work directly at the location in Zipf. They are the ones who ensure that everything runs smoothly every day and are responsible for a large part of the success of the Zipfer brand.
Despite the numerous technical innovations and a merger with Brau Union Österreich AG in 1970, the careful use of resources and brewing with natural hops were always in the foreground.

Draught, murky uniform deep brown colour, small but quite stable head, distinctive aroma of bubblegum with notes of banana and dirt and some whiffs of spice. Dominant aroma of bubblegum with notes of dark bread and some fruitbobdy is a touch too light. Overall quite with a strong sourness that lingers to a long finish.

Draft. An unclear light golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is fresh wheaty and citrusy with a slight touch of chewing gum. The flavor is sweet wheaty with notes of citrus and again some chewing gum, leading to a very dry and very wheaty finish.

Bottle at a Leon of Bruxelles. Label had Brau Union Osterreich on the back. Same label as illustration, except Biere Blanche replaced Snowfresh. Hazy golden color with a large, foamy white head. Aromas of citrus/coriander? Medium minus body w/mild carbonation. Like Hoegaarden with fruit and veg. Finishes with light clove. Very drinkable.
