Light and fruity, tart, juicy, but still low bitterness. Guessing thereβs fruit in this.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a clear dark red with a small white head. Nose is full of candi sugar, Belgian yeast, and some gentle red fruits. Flavour is much the same, with candi sugar, some floral notes, light esters, and red fruits. Not very deep or complex; it's a bit simplistic. Decently made but nothing special.

Nice clear ruby copper body and good solid foam. Lots of sour malt on the nose Flanders red style, fruity funk but could use some barrel aging. Taste is intense yeast, soft biscuit, ends smoith and musty. Reliable at least and brewed well but a beer like this could be a lot more bold.

Good dark brown body and modest foam. Nice biscuit aroma, soft bitter molasses, vague coffee notes. Taste is very nice biscuit, slightly sweet, lingering toffee and peanut brittle. Quite nice.

On tap at Studio, pours an opaque, muddy orange with a small white head β that doesn't look right. Aroma is very dirty, with a sort of dirty water character coming through; none of the fresh bread you hope for in the style. Flavour is likewise very dirty, with a muffled earthiness and maybe faint crusty bread. What's happening here? This is nothing like a typical Cali Common: dirty, muffled and lacking any vibrancy. Poor.

On tap at Studio, pours a dirty dark brown with a small beige head β looks rather muddled. Aroma is muffled, with an earthy malt character and little of the hops or roast as you might expect from an American stout. Flavour is astringently bitter and somewhat metallic, with earthy notes, a harsh metallic character, and a chalky bitterness. What were they thinking releasing this? This is harsh and off-kilter in so many ways. Quite poor.

On tap at Studio, pours a deep dark red-tinged brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out mild roasted malt, a little earthiness, and a hint of cocoa. Flavour is clean, with a nice mix of mild roast, toasted crusty bread, and a touch of dry cocoa. Sturdily structured, with everything balanced and clean; it's just not all that interesting.

On tap at Studio, pours a clear bright amber orange with a small white head. Nose brings out crisp toasted bready malt and some crunchy herbaceous notes. Flavour is much the same, with bright bready malt, crunchy herbaceous notes, and maybe a hint of red fruits. Just a bit of residual sweetness β it's mostly herbal notes on the finish, along with mild bitterness. Pleasant.
