Cask at Red Lion in Kilsby - clear gold, lasting white head. Toffee, sweet caramel, little floral tang from the hops.

Handpull cask at the Pomfret Arms, Northampton. Lightish red and clear with a sizeable beige head. Light malty aroma with orange peel. Bittersweet taste, not quite astringent but the bitterness certainly shapes the flavour to the drying finish. Light body, soft carbonation. As simple as you like, but really decent.

Cask pint at The Fox, Carlton, Beds. Pours black with cream to beige foam. Toasty malts, coffee. Creamy mouthfeel. There's a vanilla type note that was too prominent, to my taste. Medium body with fine carbonation.

Hand-pulled half-pint on 18th October 2024; Pomfret Arms, Northampton. Dark brown, red hue, creamy head. Chocolate Orange sweet, a liquid Terry's one, without the wrapper or a need to tap it on the table to break it up!

Hand-pulled half-pint at the Crown Inn, Oakengates on 26th May 2024. Pale golden body, clean and clear, white crust on top. Floral front with a slight fruity taste, didn't take to it, all a bit too subtle for me.
