Description
Four Winds joined the burgeoning BC craft beer scene and opened their doors to a public thirsty for new local offerings on June 1, 2013. Owned, operated and built from the ground up by the Mills family and friends, we are inspired by the Four Winds in gathering flavours from around the world to create our unique West Coast and European styles. We take great pleasure in the application of new world innovations while staying true to old world techniques. Motivated by the limitless potential of beer, as well as the great brewers who came before us, we aim to craft bold beers with character, depth, and balance.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy bright amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light rustic malt with some dry funky Brett notes. Taste is a great mix between some Belgian malt with funky Brett notes with light vinous notes. Body is full with limited filtration and great carbonation. Nice level of complexity while also retaining great level of complexity.

750ml bottle pours a clear gold with some cloudy, white head. Nose is nice, floral, zippy chives, soapy, light candy. Flavor is sweet with honey, grass, chive, soap, a little wine. Finishes dry. A bit of a surprise.

Bottle at the nuplastikk returns tasting in VA. Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of floral notes, citrus, pine. Tastes of citrus, pine, floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish.

Dark brown color. Smells like root beer with cream soda. Tons of aniseed, and sasparilla. Pretty smooth and heavy. Decent.

From a 75 cl bottle shared at the 2016 Nuplastik is back tasting. Pours a clear pale copper with an off white head. Citrus nose. Flavors of caramel and mandarin orange. Nice.

Nicely done. Another great beer from four winds. Huge citrus and pine. Amber pour with good head and lacing. Well balanced. Citrus tang finish. Bottle from Spinnakers.

Bottle. Crystal clear golden yellow color, white head. Nice aroma of mixed tropical fruit, papaya, pineapple. Taste is bittersweet grapefruit, nicely balanced. Delicious.
