Bottle. Pours a near clear gold with a large white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a tropical fruit note with a light sour note and a hint of oak. Flavor has a strong slightly sour tropical fruit note throughout with a touch of juicy citrus and a bit of acid.

Bottle @ home, shared with LeninCat. Hazy, slightly dark golden orange appearance with a frothy, off white head. Aroma has bretty plastic, some dust, funk, tropical fruit, guava, and some white pepper. Medium light body. Low sweetness and fairly low bitterness. Bubble gum, pineapple, pear, vanilla, tropical fruit flavor with some funk and oak. Fairly floral and reminiscent of some of their floral saisons. Dry finish. Good beer, fun to drink. I’d be a repeat buyer of this was offered in four or six packs at a reasonable price.

From a 355ml bottle on 27/12/2015 (part of an early Xmas pack from the better half). Pours a murky dark golden with pretty much no head - lots of yeasty stuff settling on the bottom. The aroma is fruity, with some mild sour and zesty notes. In the mouth, there’ lots of puckering sour - lots of grapefruit, tangerine and lemon, with some orange and mandarin sweetness evident. While certainly hidden by the sour, you do get some hops, even if it will never be mistaken for a hop monster. The palate is slick and the carbonation prickly. This is actually a very good, nicely balanced sour beer - complex and refreshing. Wild/sour beers are not really my thing, so my rating is intended to represent some quite high praise.

Aroma: More funky than it is hoppy, brett, lacto, tart fruit / lime, white wine, and spice notes
Appearance: Pours an unclear orange color with a fizzy head and some light lacing
Flavor: The flavor is a little funky, nicely tart / sour, with the spice and fruity notes on the finish
Palate: The body is light-medium, zero wateriness, tingly feel, and a somewhat dry close
Overall Impression: Love the Office Space theme, if you took this beer away from me and moved my desk to the basement I don't think I'd set the building on fire, but it is pretty good. Also, I'd be really pissed to be working in the basement. I certainly prefer this to Duality's Boston Stapler beer because it doesn't bind up as much.

Rich, deep dark brown coloured body that goes in with a bit of a muddied glow, all with a thin, fast-dying one centimetre tall light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, vanilla, oak, alcohol, bourbon, scotch, grain, lightly smoked peat and a touch of coffee - quite pungent. Full-bodied; Strong chocolate and roasted malt flavours at first with a bunch of soy sauce and mushroom flavours following right behind, all ending with a funky, boozey, chocolate and earthy malt flavour that doesn’t seem great. Aftertaste shows some slightly better flavours with alcohol, pit fruits, raisins, figs, roasted malt and coffee all noticeable along with the soy sauce and smoked peat, but somehow lost in all that are anything close to bourbon nor oak aging. Overall, a beer that is quite literally all over the place - some decent smells related to bourbon and aging, and none in the finish, some muddy looks, but turns out to be thin on the finish and most noticeably the smell is complex and the beer ends very mellow, and this is fresh! I sampled this 37,5 cL split wax-capped bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Columbus Circle), New York on 19-December-2015 for US$9,99 sampled at home in New Paltz (Upstate), New York on 21-December-2015.

Draft at Freshcraft, 11/21/2015. Nice fruity, and bretty aroma. Cloudy yellowish in color. Tastes along the same lines, fruity, a little tart, and bretty. Drinks nicely. Clean and lighter bodied. Easy drinking.

Draft pour schooner at Elliott bay pizza. Rating from notes. This was listed as a sour at the restaurant, and I was surprised. Saison makes more sense I suppose. Very juicy. Fruit beer. Light reddish pour with no head. My experience with huckleberry is limited, so for all I know, this tastes exactly like it. More of a cranberry, blueberry with a juice body. Pretty sweet, but not bad.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a hazy orange with medium off white head. The aroma is tropical fruit and funk. Thin mouth, juicy fruit, citrus twang, tart, good.

On tap at Apex, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out deep dark dry cocoa above all - not much else. Flavour is dry, chocolate-dominated and somewhat roasty. Could do with a touch new residual sweetness as this is nearing bone dry. Still, full-bodied and chocolatey. Really nice.
