Description
Mission Brewery was originally established in 1913, but like most breweries of the time, it went out of business during the first year of Prohibition. In 2007, Dan Selis, an avid homebrewer, re-established the brand and has built it into one of the top craft breweries in San Diego County.

Medium-low on the sourness. Quite high on the passionfruit. Unique in the style, just okay. Mission SD ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong on the berry flavours, but not super fruity. The malt base comes through nicely, however for such a strong beer it should be more full bodied. Mission SD ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sarsparilla nose, hints of tootsie roll, candy. Black, medium fizzy brown head with no retention. Sweet rootbeer initially, a burst of licorice at midpalate. Wintergreen snuff and tar as it warms. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Rated for the alcopop it is.

Bomber from Craft Shack. Pours hazy light gold with a transient white head. Aroma is sort of lactic, passion fruit and salt. Arguably medium body. Flavor starts quite passion fruit, gets some citrus and salt, and something a bit lactic follows. Not really fond of the cardboard finish, but the other flavors help make up a nice gose overall. Sweet/tart/salt it is.

Bomber from Inside the Cellar beer club. Aroma is SweeTarts, salinity, fruity, floral. Pours hazy yellow with a collapsing white head. Taste is sour (7/10), dry, wheaty, salty, fruity. Mouthfeel is a tad watery, carbonation tight. Right amount of salt for me. Meaning, quite a bit. Nice beer.
