Description
Mission Brewery was originally established in 1913, but like most breweries of the time, it went out of business during the first year of Prohibition. In 2007, Dan Selis, an avid homebrewer, re-established the brand and has built it into one of the top craft breweries in San Diego County.

Tap at the brewery. Pours brassy gold with a white head. Aroma is pale stone. Med body. Flavor is pale stone and citrus. Fairly dry. Almost astringent. Decently hoppy and bitter. Let’s call this a fruity, but not fruit, IPA.

I have avoided stuff like this (for the most part), yet somehow ended up with a bottle from Wine Warehouse today. $2.20. Pours deep brown, looks like cola (or root beer). Smells just like root beer - a bit sweet smelling, but not offensive. Flavor is root beer, alcohol, sugar, syrup, mint. I don't know wtf this is. Is this really a "beer"?
