Meteorologically speaking, it’s a front range-covering, water-table-filling, snow-dumping weather pattern that anyone with bindings and a roof rack would die for. Beerologically speaking, it’s carbonated gold. In 2008, Matt Cutter, Henry Wood and Dany Page, kissed their homes in Cleveland, Atlanta and Argentina goodbye to bring their beer-brewing love affair to Boulder, Colorado. With that, Upslope Brewing Company was born. And after ten years of supplying Colorado with trailhead tallboys, and pow-day libations made from the freshest snowmelt, the finest hops and the purest passion for living life outdoors, one thing has become undeniable. These guys didn’t just float another microbrew into the sea of Colorado microbrews. They created a lineup of quality craft beer that tastes as good poured from a tap as they do pulled out of a fishing vest. In other words, for those who call the Continental Divide home, the perfect storm.

Can (from Beer Republic). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some mild toffee and sweet caramel tones. Flavour is fruity, floral, some toffee and mild toffee and a bit mild herbal tones. A bit harsh as for the bitterness in the finish (earthy, floral and some wood to it).

Can from from Beer Republic, webshop Breda Netherlands and consumed at home Sunday 28th January 2024 after a lovely 20km loop hike this time from the house to Kadernberger Hütt'n, Schönberg via Gmünd, Großmisselberg and back via Innernzell, listening to The National - Laugh Track. Pours golden in colour with a sticking to the sides white head. A touch of tropicana on the nose, but a grassy hoppiness also, these also display in the mouth, pleasant mouthfeel, a decent if rather mid table beer.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic Advent '23. Diep amber kleur, witte kraag. Kruidig, kaneel, kruidnagel, nootmuskaat, wat pompoen, smaken zijn vrij dun, zou niet zeggen dat dit 7.7% is. Lichte body. Mwah.

Can from the advent calendar, drink watching Monarch on TV+. Dark brown with nice head and a hint of haze. Pumpkin veg aroma, not only spices, hint of caramel. Nice flavor of pumpkin and not as heavy on spices as many others. Moderately high bitterness that's a bit astringent/biting. Not super complex but a tasty pumpkin entry.

Can picked up from Netto and consumed at home Saturday 13th January 2024 still listening to Sprints - Letter to Self. About to cook Chicken Tikka Kebabs with a Basmati Rice and Raita. Pours deep brown, there is s slight deep, dark, garnet colour with an off white head. A touch spicy on the nose, a chewy malty edge, easy drinking, pumpkin is good without being OTT. Like this.
