Description

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Moderately sweet grainy aroma with a tinge of citrus. Sweet flavour, grainy taste, light notes of honey; light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation; sweet, slightly sticky finish. Another mediocre brew from the Tegernsee.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a foamy white medium-sized head. Sweetish strawy sightly grainy and fruity aroma with a light hoppy touch, also slightly alcoholic when it warms. Sweet flavour, medium to full body, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Strong malty taste, but not too fat, still “süffig”; sweet malty finish with a quite present alcoholic note. Drinkable, but not great.

Bottle: Golden coloured, medium-sized fluffy white head, sticking to the glass; aroma: sweet pale malt, wort, combinred with a distinctive peppery hoppiness; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, medium-bodied; honeyish-sweetish finish with some greetings from the Bavarian hop-gardens. [Draught at GBBF] Clear pale yellow. Papery malt aroma. Sweet and light bodied with soft mouthfeel. Lightly grassy, very straightforward, low bitterness. Too sweet to be refreshing.

Chestnut colour; small, off-white head. Bready, nutty smell; dark, deep malts, pretty complex but difficult to describe. Soft sweet, caramel syrup but not cloying, cake icing or filling, Sachertorte, and just a touch of hops retronasal. Very good balance. Finishes ever so slightly nutty-oxydized. Slick, oily, very well bodied. Surprisingly complex beer, wich is hard to estimate at depth because of its exceptional balance. Digging deeper, there’s a lot going on here. Thanks to Stephen D’Arcy for sharing this one.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear pilsener golden with a white head. Very malty aroma. Medium-bodied, completely dominated by extremely sweet malt - this really is liquid candy. Pretty much no bitterness at all. 310506

Bottle: Clear, pale golden, mid-sized quite firm white head; dusty, sweet-malty nose with a tinge of citrus and hops; slightly sweetish flavour, quite light bodied; light fruity (citrus) finish with a tinge of bitterness. A decent, drinkable Helles, nothing unpleasant detectable
