Description

Bottled. An amber beer with a fast disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, and lesser notes of alcohol. The flavor is very sweet malty with light notes of alcohol, leading to a rather bitter end. It has a good body.

Bottle, 6.8% as Der Blaue Page. Thanks to MoritzF. No/weak aroma. Seemingly clear pale yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is slightly fruity, but still very clean. Good alcohol feel making it very palatable. It is a heller Bock, but could pass for a clean blonde IMO. 5 3 7 3 15

Bottle, 6.8%. Weak flowery aroma. Almost clear golden colour, small floating bits. Very small white head. The flavour is flowery, a faint hint of butter, but luckily overpowered by the alcohol, which is not bad. Also some good rough bitterness. 6 3 6 3 13

Pale golden colour with small, airy, white head. First silty water, as oyster-meltwater, then some vanilla, coffee cream and pale malts, finishes a bit hayish. Alcohol, and part malt, part grain. Ends as crude alcohol, watered-down. Faint (white) bread; sweet from the alcohol. Alcohol warming, if restrained, some faint slickness, slightly fatty. Not a particulary good Bock. Thanks all the same, SebS.

Draught Very pale, nearly transparant beer, well carbonated with a small white head. Grassy pilsener type, with a find hoppy background and a short milky impression. Very watery Pilsner, a bit of pale malts. Again a bit lactic. And a bit of water. Overcarbonated MF, too spritzy, fizzy, and virtually no body. Nondescript Helles. Uninteresting, even on draught.

On tap at the Pianeta Birra, Rimini, Italy.
Pale golden coloured, huge white head, slight alcoholic nose. Sweet malty and faint hoppy aroma with herbal and grainy notes. Moderate bitter finish. Quite weak and a way too sweet brew.

On tap at the Pianeta Birra, Rimini, Italy.
Dark amber coloured, creamy pale beige head, sweet toasted malt nose. The aroma is mild roasted malt and caramel with notes of fruit, toffee and brown sugar. Mild but quite warming alcoholic finish.

Draught at Battersea BF 2007. My first lager of the day and I think my favourite. Pale gold in colour with thin white head. Some pukey lager malt aroma. Crisp in mouth though, clean finish. I like this a lot. Not very discriptive I know, but true.3.4/5. Bottle from Beermerchants and drunk at home. clear gold lasting white head. export style lager I.e. a bit more abv. some white pepper finish. very drinkable. a bit like before I like it but can't tell you why. good white pepper finish.

Bottle, 4.8%. Rough hop aroma. Clear yellow colour, very unstable head. The flavour is clearly dominated by citrus, with some malt in the finish.

Bottle (Der Blaue Page), kindly provided by Pivnizub. Pale golden, big foamy whitte head. Sweet corn aroma with a herbal accent. Malt is on the sugary side, luckily a there is a good portion bittering hops to offset that, fruity notes retronasal. Medium body, slick mouthfeel. Sweet, light fruity and herbal aftertaste.

Re-rate from bottle. Golden, fine carbonation, nice white lace. Strong grassy hop aroma on hayish malt. Solid malt body, cookies and bread, very nice broad grassy and honeyish hop profile. Sparkly mouthfeel, nice and moreish. Happy I tried this one again. Old rating: 5 3 5 3 11 Bottle, thanks Pivnizub. Cloudy golden, creamy low head. Grainy nose. Medium to light body. Soapy grains, metallic dryness, subdued hop finish.
