22 oz bottle shared by scotter. The pour is a brown golden, hazed, with not much of a head. The aroma is warming caramel, toffee, brown sugar and an almost buttery softness. The taste is the sweet caramel, toffee and brown sugar malt, along with a floral perfume character. The palate is medium to heavy bodied, with a soft natural carbonation, and a sweet lingering finish. Nice integration of the booze, nice Barley Wine. Thanks for sharing this one Scott.

On tap at Falling Rock. It pours a slightly hazy light copper-y gold with near white head of foam. The aroma is big with grapefruit, orange juice, orange peel, some grassiness, pine and a bit of cherry hard candy sweetness. Between some of these notes are snippets of resiny hop bitterness. The taste is pretty rich and vibrant with a mix of malt sweetened tangelo and grapefruit citrus hoppiness moving into a mango tropical fruit note approaching midway. It then picks up resiny pine sap like notes amid the citrusy goodness. Darn tasty rich IIPA that doesn’t push the limits of the style (which, to me, pushing the limits defines the style).
