Bottle, 4.8%. Fairly citric aroma. Hazy golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is fruity with stale vegetable. Not much iron, though. But still quite bad.

Clear, pale yellow. White head. Sweet malty aroma. Mild citrus perhaps. Watery, sweet flavour. Malty with a weird artificial flavour.

Beer #8 of 17 for each day of the 2018 Winter Olympics - One for A Country Participating in the Games: #5 - Hong Kong, S.A.R. While a small nation-state, there is an athlete competing from the amazing place. However, I sampled this due to the two ladies from the Mainland [china] medaling in Women's Aerials, since H.K. probably won't pull in a medal. Deep dark brown coloured body with a three centimetre tall tan head that fades like soda. Aroma of chocolate, light raisins, figs, earth, nuts, vanilla pods and a good dose of pure caster sugar. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grape and raisin flavours at first with a big dose of sweetness and only a touch of roasted malt, but a little chocolate and hint of coffee near the tail end couples with a large sweet and raisiny flavour. Aftertaste shows mainly a malt, earthy and sweet flavour with no complexity, no depth, no pungency and not much body at all - shows more of a copper ale than anything else. Overall, a decent beer, if that, but nice to try from the great country and while I wouldn't want to be drinking this in the oppressive summer heat, this is nice to drink at home in the Wintertime on the other side of the world. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from City'Super! (Harbour City) in Kowloon, Hong Kong, S.A.R. on 02-July-2014 for HK$21,00 sampled at home in Washington on 16-February-2018.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Getränketempel', best before July 2018. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy aroma of grains and some straw. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, moderately grassy-spicy and a little fruity taste of grains, some straw and traces of citrus, followed by a short, moderately bitter, dry, somehow sugary and minimally metallic finish. Thin to medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay!
