Bottle (labelled Dragon’s Back IPA - so either this is mis-labelled or an alias because it’s definitely not an IPA). Light chocolate malt and grass hops aroma. Dark brown color with moderate head. Lightly sweet toffee malt and mildly bitter hops flavor. Light but pretty tasty - very nice for an Asian beer.

Super clear golden coloured body with a thinnish white head that leaves a pretty ugly lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of nice fresh malt, lemons, a touch of low a.a. hops, some raisins and a hint of coriander seed. Light-bodied; Sharp assertive hoppy taste up front with a mellow maltiness and a deep pungent grassy and barnyard flavour soon afterwards with a grassy bite at the end. Afterwards fairly bitter on the palate with the grass and bitter caramel coming through. Overall, a pretty bad beer, but when there aren’t many alternatives, this one was neat to try. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased at City/Super! Supermarket in the best city in the world: Hong Kong (off the Causeway Bay MTR stop), China on 26-August-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 21-January-2010.
